Georgetown, TX native, Chef Karina Davila, graduated with a degree in Baking & Pastry Arts from Austin Community College in 2017. During her time at ACC, Chef Karina was granted the Les Dames d'Escoffier Scholarship which enabled her to study Hospitality at the San't Anna Institute in Sorrento, Italy where she also completed her summer internship as a pastry chef at the famous local favorite, Paradise Bakery. Upon graduation, Davila was awarded a James Beard Foundation Scholarship and continued her studies in 2018 at the Culinary Entrepreneurship Program at the International Culinary Center in New York City (Formerly known as the French Culinary Institute.) Georgetown Pie Co. was born the end of summer 2019. She soon transitioned from her home into a commercial kitchen space as demand grew rapidly. With 10k followers between her two social media outlets, multiple Austin Food Blog articles, and feature in the local Williamson County newspaper, Georgetown Pie Co's following has resulted in constant sold out farmer's markets and booked up weeks on end. Chef Karina is currently in the works of finding a storefront, but meanwhile is continuing the company's success at local farmers markets.
